The 36th Annual Christmas Revels

Wrap yourself up and jump in the troika for a snowy ride through the Eastern European countryside as the New York Revels present The 36th Annual Christmas Revels, a version of the classic Russian fairy tale “The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship,” about a simple hero who, in order to win the hand of the Czar’s daughter, must travel in his flying machine across all of Eastern Eurpose, performing near-impossible tasks. Through this journey, an array of winter solstice customs, folk music and songs, festive dancing and dazzling costumes brilliantly come to life. With guest artists the Syzokryli Ukrainian Dance Ensemble.
