About This Show

Ted Sperling celebrates the legacy of E.Y. “Yip” Harburg, the Russian-Jewish immigrant who brought us Finnigan’s Rainbow and much of The Wizard of Oz. Harburg penned such hits as “April in Paris,” “Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?” and “It’s Only A Paper Moon,” yet was “blacklisted” in the 1950s by film, radio and television for his liberal views.
