The TWAS Theatre Project (who brought you Richard III featuring 20 Classical Actors of Color) now proudly presents The TWAS Classical Lab Reading Series. Take Wing And Soar Productions will sponsor annually a classical reading series that includes 3 classical plays, 3 professional guest artist directors, 30-45 Classically Trained Actors of Color and their contemporaries, auditions, 3-5 days of open rehearsals, culminating with staged readings open to the public, followed by a discussion and/or Q&A.

This season’s selections include works from Lorey Hayes, William Shakespeare, and Richard Brinsley Sheridan, to be directed by veteran actor and director Count Stovall, classical actor, teaching artist and director Timothy D. Stickney, and Restoration drama scholar, actor and director Kevin Connell.
