About This Show

Suzanne Carrico makes her New York City cabaret debut with pianist Stephen Cornine at The Duplex. With a Masters Degree from Manhattan School of Music, Suzanne Carrico has for some time been one of New York’s rising young opera singers. Her credits include having performed as a Young Artist at the Caramoor Bel Canto Festival under Will Crutchfield.

Suzanne spent a week last summer exploring American Popular Song at the Sundance Institute with the Mercer Foundation working with the likes of Margaret Whiting, Melissa Manchester, Charles Strouse, Michael Rupert, Jimmy Webb and Don Rebic. This experience inspired Ms. Carrico to return to her roots in Musical Theatre and American Song as a “belter” and to put together her fist cabaret show Mr. Right. Featuring songs by Kurt Weill, Charles Strouse, Jason Robert Brown, Craig Carnelia, Christine Lavin, Jule Styne, Stephen Schwartz and others Mr. Right explores the single girl’s quest to find not just any man, but the RIGHT one.
