Shen Yun Symphony Orchestra, a unique musical experience combining exquisite Chinese melodies with a grand western symphony will play at Carnegie Hall on October 5. It is the only orchestra that combines both classical Western and Chinese instruments as permanent members. Alongside brass, woodwinds, and strings, the symphony blends traditional Chinese instruments like the two-stringed erhu, the plucked pipa, and ancient percussion. Its program features the best original music from the world-renowned Shen Yun production, highlighted by Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Tchaikovsky’s Polonaise as well as instrumental soloists and Shen Yun’s acclaimed singers.
