About this show

Few new country artists have ever come to the table with the combination of talent, passion and experience that is Rissi Palmer. She was a finalist on the CBS-telecast "Star Search," was featured in CMT's documentary "Waiting In The Wings," along with Charley Pride and Trini Triggs, and on the network's "Most Wanted Live," and has worked with producers including Brian McKnight and Deborah Allen. She was recently featured in Essence Magazine. Her talent and dedication have brought her to the forefront among country's hottest young talent. She has written with many of Nashville's finest writers, including Angela Kaset, James Dean Hicks and Shaye Smith, penned the song "Faith," which appeared in the 2004 Lee Daniels/Miramax film "The Woodsman," and wrote "Hold On To Me," which Faith Hill chose for an album project but then agreed to release so Rissi could include it on her own debut. Terry Johnson, CEO of 17.20 says enthusiastically, "She's an incredible vocalist and a great lyricist who writes most all of her own music and plays guitar... the special thing about Rissi is her heart and her spirit...a superstar in the making."
