About This Show

Queen Esther is a light-hearted look at the ancient Biblical story of Queen Esther. In this version, Esther is a dreamy and ambitious girl who dreams of being queen and denies her Jewish identity in order to succeed. Her Uncle Mordechai is an eccentric dairy farmer, and King Achasuerus is an insecure monarch who is being manipulated by the wily and dangerous Haman. The show combines zany comedy, off-beat romance, colorful characters and a catchy, melodic score.
