About This Show

Thomas Meehan’s delightful short story, Yma Dream, is set to music by award-winning composer/arranger Lanny Meyers and sung by
famed concert and Broadway baritone Douglas Webster. In this one-act opera, the narrator recounts a recurring dream wherein he finds himself hosting a party for the exotic Peruvian singer Yma Sumac. As the evening progresses, he finds himself challenged to introduce more and more guests to each other, each with a duo-syllabic first-name.
