About This Show
Word to No One joins two stage texts into one evening length piece. The first piece, Word to Your Mama, sifts through the detritus of the American Dream/Nightmare/Advertisement, juxtaposing the reflections of three differing voices trapped in the collective body of a New York Night Secretary. The second piece, No One, looks at the Dream after it has been blown apart; it is a meditation on where we are now, tracing themes of non-violence and war, the need for adequate translators and the identity of the “enemy.”
This production runs March 23 through March 30 at the Greenwich Street Theatre (547 Greenwich Street between Charlton and Vandam) and March 27 through March 30 at the SITI Company Studios (520 8th Ave, Ste 310 between 36th and 37th Street.)
