New York City
Succulence Productions presents John Patrick Shanley’s Women of Manhattan, a humorous and vivid look at one week in the lives of three friends in Manhattan circa 1986. It explores the issues of gender roles, relationships, and honesty within a society largely steeped in Reaganism and the Cold War. At its heart, Shanley’s delicate though passionately raw words seek to illuminate and encourage each person’s individual search for fulfillment and self-discovery, despite the fear that is so often prevalent in everyday life.
