Whips n’ Cheney’s: A Night of Shock and Ha is a panel discussion that explores how comedy is the intersection of entertainment and politics. Hoping to bridge the gap between left and right through humor, this electically diverse group of comedians hailing from DC and NYC will meet for one night only to chew the fat and make you laugh till it hurts.
Sean Conroy, who has performed on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and has written for and has appeared on the Comedy Central hit show Crossballs, will moderate.
Panelists include Craig Baldo (Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, NBC’s Last Comic Standing,) and Doug Hecox (author of Star Spangled Banter,’ and Graze Expectation’) and seven of the smartest comedians DC and NYC have to offer; Jeff Kreisler (Bizarro’s Politicomedy-a-go-go,) Catie Lazarus (Stand-NY’s “Funniest New York Resident, writer-Heeb Magzine), Matt Gallagher (MTV’s Average Joe, The Laugh Factory,) Jeff Glasse (Creator/Director of Bit Players Project,) Zach Toczynski ( Baltimore’s “Funniest Person,”) Adam Ruben (Gotham Comedy Club, writer-National Lampoon ,) and Ben Wesley (a big hit in Japan, Wiseacres, and the Improv in DC!) round out the cast.
