About This Show

This is an original, coming-of-age story about a Jewish / Socialist / Vegetarian / Feminist named Maggie and her extremely big hair. Growing up in a politically left-wing household in Maplewood, NJ, wasn’t always easy for Maggie. But neither was dealing with the painful realities of unrequited love, bullies, death, racism, war, sexual assault, vegetarian haters and her extremely big hair.

With a left-wing father, feminist mother, radical grandmother and an insightful dog who is her best friend, Maggie is forced to choose between fitting-in with the culture of suburban New Jersey or standing up for what she believes is right. Throughout the piece Maggie makes surprising discoveries that will both shock and delight audiences. This minimalist production consists of one chair, one actor and 25 characters. Warning Signs features a guest appearance by George W. Bush and a new super hero named Super V.
