About This Show

Vukani!, written by Sindiwe Magona, is a compelling family drama and it is also a vital part of the innovative AIDS prevention and awareness efforts now taking place in the cities and villages of sub-Saharan Africa. Health advocacy organizations are using dramas like this to alert people to HIV and AIDS risks and prevention strategies. Vukani! attempts to dispel the prevalent folk myth that sleeping with a virgin can cure a man of AIDS.

Arthur French, a founding member of the Negro Ensemble Company, stars in the production, which is directed by Shirley Parkinson Wright.
