New York City
Spanning ten years (1981-1991) in the life of Jimmy Bonaparte, Veins and Thumbtacks is the tale of an angry, young man. Burdened by being an orphan, a father at age 18, the caretaker of his wheelchair-bound grandmother, and nothing more than a stock clerk, Jimmy finds his answer at an amateur night at the local comedy club. This play probes Jimmy?s harsh reality and what?s behind his self-destructive ways. Nicole Lerario directs.
