New York City
Blending restoration language and west coast slang, Touché! is a satire on love, marriage, and maddening affairs. Set in both eighteenth-century Britain and modern day Los Angeles, parallel stories of love jump back and forth between eras at Diamond Publishing, run by Sir Edmund Diamond in 1770 and Mark Diamond in 2000. Add to the mix parallel wives, lovers, secret admirers, and confidants – along with a belting Opera Singer and Rap Artist– and the stage is set for amorous antics as history unfolds itself and the characters match wits to vie for their true loves.
This new comedy with music is written by Anne Marie Cummings and directed by Lucie Tiberghien.
