About This Show

Three Ring is set in an insane asylum for circus performers where we are introduced to five lost souls who are uncertain about who they are and how they got there. One thing is for certain, however; their caregiver is dead. Throughout the piece we learn each of the characters’ individual case histories and marvel at their circus skills as we try to piece together what actually happened to cause the death of Doctor Gifford. At times confessional, hilarious, and disturbing, this show dissects sexuality and asks the viewer to question their own sense of morality and humanity. Peter S. Petralia has written the script around three formal frameworks: circus acts, dialogue/action that advance the story directly, and confessional monologues that connect the story to the circus acts. Ultimately, it is about the thin line between reality and un-reality, love and violence, us and them.

The April 3rd performance will be preceded by a 7pm opening night party hosted by Yellow Rat Bastard, Boru Vodka and Cafferino Lucier. There is an additional performance on April 26 at 2pm.
