About This Show

They That Have Borne the Battle Veterans Festival.

WORKSHOP THEATER COMPANY celebrates Memorial Day and our Veterans with the “They That Have Borne The Battle” Veterans Festival at the WorkShop Main Stage Theater and Jewel Box Theater throughout the month of May featuring its Annual Spring One-Act Festival.

WORKSHOP THEATER COMPANY’S Festival is jam-packed with Veterans events. In addition to the featured One-Act Festival, there will be a Full-Length Reading Series including a Special Staged Reading of a new Translation of Aeschylus’ “The Persians” (in association with Verse Theater Manhattan) a Special Film Screening Of “No Job For a Woman,” a docudrama on female correspondents of WWII.

The Veterans One-Act Festival is the cornerstone of the Veterans Festival. Every year WorkShop Theater Company produces its spring One-Act Festival around a theme; this year’s Festival is military-themed in honor of Veterans Day. This year’s one-acts include: “Air Force 525,” by Marylee Martin, “Breakfast With Charlie,” by Bob Manus, “The Fatwa Of Corpsman Johnny Jones,” by Greg Oliver Bodine, “Bethesda,” by Bob Stewart, “On The Advice Of An Old Friend,” By David M. Mead, and “Vowed and Wowed,” by Rich Orloff.. The one-act festival runs from May 5th- May 28th at The WorkShop Jewel Box Theater.
