The Time Traveler’s Convention

CAP 21 presents The Time Traveler’s Convention as part of its Monday Night Reading Series. Featuring music by Mike Pettry, with book and lyrics by Heidi Hansen-Young.

Three college students hold a convention to travel back in time and undo the tragedies of the past. By putting invitations inside classic novels in the library they hope to contact a time traveler from the future. Their scheme works and a stranger arrives. This quirky musical, with a contemporary score by Jonathan Larson Award-winner Mike Pettry, explores parent/child relationships, loss and grief, and the universal desire to change the past.
