The Show

In Marc Morales’ new play The Show, Marty, the writer of Urban Circus, is arrested by government officials. He finds himself in a dark and empty cell; handcuffed and beaten, with a guard at each shoulder. While Marty is being interrogated, the show rages on somewhere downtown. The people interrogating Marty are neither entertained nor amused by Marty’s work. “They” find his work anti-American and unsuitable for public consumption. “They” conclude that Marty must be silenced along with the performers in his show.

The final performance is Sunday, June 1 at 5:00pm.
