The Quarrel

Adapted from the Yiddish short story (1951) and the award-winning film (1991), this provocative play follows a chance encounter between two estranged friends, each believing that the other had perished in the concentration camps. One man is an Orthodox rabbi, the other a secular writer. Their experiences and loss during the Holocaust have reinforced the rabbi’s trust in religious faith and the writer’s trust in himself.
