Micah Schraft’s The Propaganda Plays offers a fresh look at the age-old conflict between instinct and intellect, between what we think is right and what we feel in our hearts to be true. Written in three parts, the production spans 25 years as it follows a handful of characters interconnected by time and circumstance: a high school teacher and his female student; a stepson and his new stepmother; a world-renowned genetics professor and the female journalist assigned to interview him. All engage in a unique battle between intellect and emotion, where memory serves as both weapon and shield. Trip Cullman directs.
Performances begin: June 6, 2024
