About This Show

The Product of Faulty Parenting is a fast paced evening of six one-act plays by Eric Alter. Plays include:

Absolutely Anything, about a struggling New York actress who will do absolutely anything to land an upcoming part.

Battles Inside the Cerebral Cortex, a play which involves a woman struggling with her guilty and non-guilty consciences when they take on human life form.

Humilty between 7th and 8th is the story of an uptight business man who gets stuck in an elevator and learns more about himself than he ever wanted.

The Suicide Dance is a farce about how out of touch today’s parents can be with their children’s lives.

Seven Minutes in Heaven is a drama about two teenagers forced at a party to be in the same closet while playing the romantic game seven minutes in heaven. One of them is the most popular girl in school, the other the biggest nerd.

The Theory of Christmas Toys, the longest play of the evening (50 minutes), is about dating and relationships. Poor Mike has just been left broken-hearted. The last thing he needs is to hear how great life is from long time acquaintance Benny, who’s back in town with a “theory” for everything.
