The Pinter Project

T. Schreiber Studio Theatre presents The Pinter Project, directed by Terry Schreiber. This Project has been made posible by special permission from Harold Pinter, and will feature two classic Pinter plays: The Birthday Party (first performed in 1958) and The Homecoming (first performed in 1964).
These two vintage Pinter plays will be performed in rotating repertory, a very unique and rare kind of theatrical experience. The rotating repertory is the first for the Schreiber Studio in it’s eighteen years of presenting Off-Off Broadway Theatre.

The Brithday Party

The Homecoming

The Birthday Party and The Homecoming were revolutionary plays of their day and belong in the cannon of great theatre works. These plays will take you on a journey of menace, betrayal, sexual longing, domination, control and primordial passions. The Homecoming offers a darkly comedic view of feminine power, while The Birthday Party explores the destruction of the artist by powerful authoritarian figures.

Performance Dates: The Birthday Party opens February 2, 2005, and The Homecoming opens February 3, 2005. Shows alternate performance nights and both shows are performed on Saturdays. Both plays will run for eighteen performances.

Special Club Night includes food, wine and talkback with the cast, crew, and director. The Homecoming Club Night is Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 8:00 P.M. The Birthday Party Club Night is Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 8:00 P.M.
