About This Show

Please Note: The 2pm matinee on Saturday, February 19th has been cancelled.

A stuffy author jumps into a roller coaster of a relationship with a foulmouthed, freewheeling prostitute and the result is a winning comedy that The New York Times described as “comic writing…charged with startling intensity and truth.” The sexual comedy in three acts was a hoot on Broadway, before heading off to London. The play was subsequently made into a successful film, but has not been seen in New York for many years. Patrick Christiano and Chantal Georges portray the mismatched lovers, and Zina Jasper directs Bill Manhoff’s The Owl and the Pussycat. Jasper won an Outer Circle Critics Award for her performance of Rochelle in Saturday Night and has had an extensive career in the theatre as an actress as well as in film & on TV.
