The Karma Bookshop is a new play by Filip Marinovich, about a young man, Tom, who is mourning his lover, who died of AIDS. On the way to a party, he enters a bookshop seeking escape. He searches for a spellbook which will bring his dead lover to life. This choice unleashes a chain of consequences which threaten to destroy him. This play brings together elements of Dada, Beat poetry and deconstruction to explore aspects of queer identity.
