About This Show

The Heights Players’ 58th season continues in October with a psychological whodunit, presented just in time to get “Hollow”-ween (er, Halloween) spirits inspired. Agatha Christie’s rarely performed play, The Hollow, involves some of the most interesting and eccentric characters that Christie ever created and a tale about the dangers of obsession and hero worship.

Set in 1948, the play revolves around a group of guests who are spending the weekend at the Hollow, the wealthy English country estate owned by Sir Henry and Lucy Angkatell. Immediately a complex web of relationships is revealed as the guests gather. A murder occurs at the end of Act 1, and as with many of Christie’s plays, there are many suspects. Enter Inspector Colquhoun of Scotland Yard to sort through the confusion of family loyalties and unrequited love, and reveal the dark forces of madness, passion and blind obsession that have driven one person to commit murder.
