The Fresh Fruit Festival

The Fresh Fruit Festival, an annual international multi-genre celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Art and Culture, is now in its fifth year. The festival features jugglers, jazz, a bevy of international performance artists, a night of drag comedy at Gotham Comedy Club, and lots of serious theater.

This year’s performers hail from Canada, England, Germany and Kuwait and this year’s events include a multi-media event at Joe’s Pub honoring LGBT Jazz greats and benefiting the jazz musicians of New Orleans through the American Foundation of Jazz’s “Fund for New Orleans Musicians”.
