This contemporary drama is fueled by the concealed, desperate motives of two dubiously matched, middle-aged strangers: Sam and Rita. The two find themselves at Rita’s apartment, after a chance, fateful encounter at a Chicago bar, where the gravitational force of their veiled compulsions for redemption have pulled them together and set them on the precarious path of revelation soon to unfold. As each grasps toward the other in a last-ditch effort to purge the fallout from missteps taken in life, layer after layer of the masks they’re wearing are peeled away. With only their sheer mortality, loneliness and despair remaining, will salvation be found? Or will the truth prove fatal?
