About This Show

Conceived and designed by Thaddeus Phillips, The Earth’s Sharp Edge is a new work created by Jessica Baer, Amanda Collett, Brian Colona, Mario Cotto, Heather Kelley, Muni Kulasinghe, Tatiana Mallarino, Thaddeus Phillips, and Erin Rolhman.
THE EARTH’S SHARP EDGE is a synthesis of physical and visual theater which examines culture and travel via the nonfictional accounts of two airline passengers with distinctly different destinations. The work incorporates (among other things) a recent journey through Morocco, the story of Leila Khaled (a femme fatale airline hijacker from the 1970’s), music from the Arab world, The Sheltering Sky by Paul Bowles, and Mr. Phillips’ flagged passport that caused him to be detained most recently by American Immigration and Customs Authorities. Performed in English, French, Spanish and Arabic. more info
