About This Show

Joe Hoover’s The Ditch is a three-character coming of age play about a young man from Oklahoma who is searching for his manhood and identity. His search leads him out of the city to the countryside where he visits his grandmother, who is also searching — for someone to help her run her farm. Meanwhile, his sister tries to convince him to return to the city for a once-in-a-lifetime job offer. All three characters fall into their respective “ditches,” and the play offers ways for each to climb out.
