About This Show

International WOW presents this site-specific theater piece conceived and directed by Josh Fox, and created by an international ensemble.

Board a chartered bus for a tour of historical Brooklyn, as the host, Lucy Kendrick Smith, leads you through terrain both physical and metaphysical. Travel over the Williamsburg Bridge and past the Navy Yard, home to prisons and movie studios. Learn about George Washington and the Battle of Brooklyn, the Canarsee Indians that once ruled this land, the origin of consciousness, and many other little known facts.

Arrive for Act II at International WOW’s warehouse in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Catch a glimpse of hooded prisoners chained to rooftop shingles, movie stars roaming the halls, and accountants washing bloodstained laundry. Visit bedrooms where intimate moments are shared between nightmares. Park in the garage as it slowly fills with exhaust fumes and exhaustion.

The chartered bus leaves from Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center.
