About This Show

Clubbed Thumb productions presents Summerworks 2000, a play festival features three fully-produced productions, a reading series of full-length works-in-progress, and a night of standup and short performance pieces. Their full productions will be:
Medea Eats by Adam Bock, directed by Pam MacKinnon – A wickedly funny and unsentimental look at a carnal and corrupt world where money and medicine define who’s going to make it and who’s going to rot. Medea’s fabulous dinner party is ruined when her tycoon husband brings home yet another new date. June 8-24 – Wednesday – Sunday, at 8pm.
The Doctor of Last Resort by Rachel Sheinekin, directed by Elizabeth Stevens – This new comedy about a holistic psychiatrist who is offered his own tabloid talk show investigates the role belief plays in “getting better.” A para-psychiatrist, his wry receptionist and an overly empathic patient find that one person’s sickness is another person’s cure. June 22 & 23 at 10pm; June 24 at 3pm & 10pm
Beach by Ann Marie Healy, directed by Shawn Fagan – Catch Flip, Gigi, and their pals during their summer of lust and betrayal in this absurdist Beach Blanket Bingo. June 22 & 23 at 10pm; June 24 at 3pm & 10pm.
