Spurn goes multimedia on the Upper West Side! Join the company throughout the month of April for the acclaimed comedy troupe’s SIXTH all new production since 2001, now including both staged and video segments. Spurn’s patented six-member cast of hotheads perform surreal, subversive sketch comedy, excerpts from the twisted little carnival of their lives. The show features sinister, otherworldly forces overtaking our television networks, re-imagines the MTA as a bureaucracy-driven group of super-heroes, and immerses the company in the delicious pathos of French toy store owners. And there are dead clowns!

The Village Voice says that spurn “…leaves its audience gasping for breath between guffaws as its relentlessly funny skits whip past us…the nimble ensemble leaps effortlessly between vignettes, giving the show a blessed fluidity for such a wrenching satiric picture.” New York Theatre Experience compares spurn to the Kids in the Hall, saying it “…shares that series’ hard-edged, envelope-pushing, vaguely absurdist sensibility.” If you’re happy, you’re not paying attention.
