About This Show

World Premiere of Small World produced by Jean Brassard, at the Medicine Show in Hell’s Kitchen, in association with Soo Kim and Dominique Borel.

Small World is an evening of three short plays written in 1975, 1991, and 2001 respectively. In Short-Circuit, a cocktail partygoer is engaged by a phantom. Candies visits a moment in the dissolution of a mother and son’s dependent relationship. Foot on a Bridge brings us the story of Bruce, a man confronting his feelings of self doubt towards his family life and work.

Jean Brassard, the author/director, is also the author of Where the Waters Run Deep, A Thousand Julys, and the co-author with Francine Roussel of La Vie en Rose. Directing credits include Anouilh’s Antigone with the Intimate Theatre company and In the Loneliness of the Cottonfields at last year’s Fringe Festival.

The actors include: Tatiana Abbey*, Doïna Becker, Anna Ewing Bull*, Jim Jack*, Kathleen McInerny*, James Moles, Michael Rubenstone* and Matt Wiens.
