About This Show

NativeAliens Theatre Collective presents Short Stories 5, the company’s 5th annual festival of short plays. This collection of 7 diverse plays illuminate different aspects of the gay/lesbian/transgender experience. From a record number of submissions the following plays were chosen:

AFTER THE DANCE – written by William McGovern, directed by Billy Prahin
BENEFIT – written by Richard Ballon, directed by Jennie Contuzzi
THE BEST BOYFRIEND – written by Tobias K. Davis, directed by Mary Tarochione
CLEANING HOUSE – written by Timothy Ryan Olson, directed Jodi Lynn Smith
DANCING IN THE AFTERNOON – written by Chris Mann, directed Kristin Dabrowski
FEISTY PUSSY – written by Laura Rohrman, directed by Nancy Rogers
STALLS AND URINALS – written by Tim Douglas Jensen, directed by Tyler Ashby Jones

The cast includes Catherine Banks, Deborah Cresswell, Samara Doucette, Tony Foggia, Scott Gilmore, Frederick Hamilton, Elizabeth Ann Hammond, Peter Herrick, Linda Horwatt, Inga Hyatt, Jennifer J. Katz, Todd Monroe, Luke Novak, and Ali Squitieri.

NativeAliens Theatre Collective is a not-for-profit off-off-Broadway company dedicated to developing original works and unique interpretations of classics from a gay/lesbian perspective to dispel mutual misconceptions within all our communities.
