Emily Charlotte Combere’s full-length operatic comedy She Must Compose Herself stars an old playwright, his assistant, and a young female pianist that wins a fellowship to write an opera for their massive annual party. Upon arrival, the pianist learns about card games, mind games, and sex games that the writers play in order to find script material and ends up in an “asylum.” Combere directs; Matt Park, Garrett Glaser, and Juliet O’Brien star.
