About This Show

John Basil directs Romeo & Juliet. William Shakespeare’s masterpiece never stops challenging us about love, politics and violence. This pair of idealistic teenagers may be victims of their own impetuosity, but they are also victims of a world given over to prejudice and hate. In today’s climate, when our youth are used as soldiers and suffer as “collateral damage”, the timeliness of this play has never been more acute. It is though the power of their love that ultimately heals, mends and brings peace.

No performances November 22-December 1.

Appropriate for 12th grade audiences and up.
