Repo! The Genetic Opera

Wings Theatre presents the New York premiere of Repo! The Genetic Opera, a new rock musical by Terrance Zdunich and Darren Smith, directed by Zdunich.

In a world of transplant fashions and designer organs, the story takes place in Los Angeles in the not-so-distant future. An epidemic of organ failure kills a large portion of the population. Genetic engineers respond by harvesting organs to be used as transplants. Soon organs are bought and sold freely, often times on credit. Due to finance charges and interest rates, organs frequently go into grizzly foreclosure. Collection is the responsibility of genetic repo men, employed by GENECO, the “Crazy Eddy” of discount organs.
