About This Show

No grinding of metal…just a flicker of wind.

Studio 42 and the Culture Project present red bird, by acclaimed author (Miss Corpus, Rest Area) and creator of the Pumpkin Pie
Show, Clay McLeod Chapman.

Titled after the nickname given to the fabled, and highly dangerous red subway cars that ran on the 4,5,6 lines, the play is a tale of life below the city streets as told by an eclectic cast of characters in Chapman’s signature southern gothic style. Isaac Butler directs.
