About This Show

Prospect Theater’s 2003-2004 season includes:

The House of Bernarda Alba
Jan 17 – Feb 8
Loewe Theatre at Hunter College (68th St. & Lexington Ave.)
Prospect’s Artistic Director Cara Reichel directs this poetic tragedy, which documents a household of cloistered women in a small Spanish village, all struggling to escape the concontrol fines of a domineering matriarch. Reichel’s innovative staging brings new perspective to this study of feminine relationships.

Man Is Man
April 17 – May 9
West End Theatre (86th and West End Ave.)
Director Jackson Gay of last season’s critically acclaimed production of Spring Awakening returns to Prospect to tackle Brecht’s tale of the forcible transformation of a civilian into a perfect soldier.

Lonely Rhymes
April 22 – May 8
West End Theatre (86th and West End Ave.)
Don’t miss the latest new musical theater work from Peter Mills, 2002 Jonathan Larson Award winner. If you enjoyed The Alchemists, Illyria, The Taxi Cabaret, or The Flood, you’ll love this comic song cycle which touchingly examines the solitude of artistic creation, and the often-hilarious search for each person’s true love.

Members will be able to purchase tickets to Prospect Theater Company’s
