About This Show

Industrial Strength Company re-imagines Aeschylus’s classic Greek tragedy. Prometheus is a rebel with a conscience whose crime, his love of man, brings on him both the rage of the gods and the immediate sympathy of the human audience who will come to know Prometheus as the original surrogate for those human titans who enlighten the world only to come to sorrow because of it. Power (James Ryan Reichel), Hephaestus & Strength (Tony White & Rob Aloi) chain Prometheus (James Kivlen) to the great Sea Wall of Scythia under orders by Zeus as punishment for Prometheus numerous boons to mankind. We come to know the titan’s story as he tells it to various visitors to his prison. Oceanus (Warren J Schultz) and his daughters Sarah Young, Alison Burke & Rebecca J Overholt) Lend a sympathetic ear but fail to convince Prometheus to “Stop making Waves”. Prometheus hints at the end of his punishment and a possible downfall of Zeus while using his prophetic foresight to reveal to Io (Tzena Nicole) the end of her own great curse. This causes Zeus to send Hermes (John Wu) to Prometheus to try and force the answers from him…Prometheus refuses…
