People Like Us

Written and performed by Esther Silberstein, People Like Us is a one-woman show which chronicles three lonely dreamers in the world of karaoke: a dj who craves Hollywood stardom; a wannabe rocker who thinks he’s the second coming of Robert Plant; and a wife who escapes the doldrums of her marriage by falling for a singing barfly. Caitlin McClure directs the show, which is part of the 5th annual New York International Fringe Festival.
