About This Show

Tamara Cupic’s Parental Consent is a social commentary on the contemporary, dogmatic political climate in the United States that addresses the Parental Consent laws concerning abortion that seriously compromise the lives of young women. The play was initially performed in May 2006 at Theater for the New City’s Lower Eastside Festival of the Arts & Teatro IATI (Instituto Arte Teatral Internacional). It is in the process of being translated into Spanish, so that it may be produced as a bilingual production by Teatro IATI.
