About This Show

A dark comedy dealing with issues of identity and sexuality, Joyce Wu’s Other People tells the story of Alice and Greg… and Krista. Alice works in publishing; Greg works in finance. The two have been dating since their sophomore year at Yale and should be well on their way to a wedding announcement in the Sunday Times, but their relationship is unraveling. In an uncharacteristic act of spontaneity, they decide to go home with Krista, a struggling actress whose biggest claim to fame is a tampon commercial. Finding themselves in an apartment, vying for the attention of a single man, Alice (who is Asian/multiracial, sardonic and intellectual) and Krista (blonde, bubbly and All-American) end up confronting each other and their own deep-seated issues. The play is loosely based on Sartre’s No Exit.

In addition to the regular schedule, a performance is arranged for Friday, February 9 at 8:00pm.
