About This Show

On the Brink, a special night of two original one-act plays, marks the fourth production by writer/director David Tianga and the Subterranean Theatre Ensemble.

Act One: See what six young men from all different backgrounds, have to talk about when they are forced to share a jail cell in New York City. This politically charged piece tornadoes through current social issues and raises important questions relevant in our present time.

Act Two: In the second piece we move into a small studio apartment in Brooklyn, New York, where a newly arrived couple confront ghosts creeping back from their past, threatening either to destroy or bring them closer together. This piece explores the love relationship dynamic, and it’s inherent disfunctionality and beauty.

Strong language is used, appropriate for ages 16 and up.
