On Caring for the Beast

When a young writer embarks on the journey of interviewing a reformed torturer, she is led on a path that culminates in the confrontation necessary for the bones to be laid bare and for the redemption of the flesh. On the Caring of the Beast is written by Shishir Kurup and directed by Kiran Merchant. It is the inaugural production by the recently formed Disha Theatre, a new theater company dedicated to producting works by playwrights and performers of South Asian descent.
