About This Show

Fifty five years ago, a black curtain dropped on the entertainment industry when many where accused of being part of the communist party. Norman Beim’s On a Darkling Plain takes place during the final days of that era. Set in 1964, the play tells the story of Guy Leonard, a blacklisted Broadway star and film actor who has been driving a cab for the last 12 years to support his family. But Guy is suddenly confronted with a dilemma: Should he demean himself and appear in a TV commercial for toilet paper, or should he accept a leading role in a Broadway show staged by a director and former friend who was responsible for ruining countless lives by naming names?

In addition to the regular schedule, a performance is arranged for Monday, January 22 at 7:00pm.
