About This Show

Taken from his experiences as a comedian on cruise ships, Diennet has written a fast paced film noir mystery for one actor and a musician about the underbelly of the cruising industry. Murder, lust, pollution, and exploitation, bubble beneath the shiny veneer of Royal Ocean’s largest passenger liner, the Lovely Nights. Our reluctant hero, Chester Fields, a recovering alcoholic, has to wade into the lurid world below decks to find the body, solve the murder, and get the girl without falling into the drink. Original underscoring and songs maintain the heady pace as director Jason Schuler pitches the audience headlong into that part of cruise life that most of us never see. Come and enjoy ‘the vacation of a lifetime’. All aboard!
