TeatroStageFest Fall Season 2012 presents Mujeres al Desnudo (Naked), written, directed and performed by award-winning Mariluz Acosta. A Dominican-born established in New York City, Mariluz Acosta and her company Sea & Light Productions present an acclaimed show about the effects of domestic violence among women from different cultural and social backgrounds. The show features 11 real-life stories of New York City men and women. Through the use of dark humor and emotional honesty, ‘Mujeres al Desnudo (Naked)’ explores a complex subject matter, leading to awareness, healing and hope. ‘Mujeres al Desnudo (Naked)’ had a successful run at the prestigious National Theater of Santo Domingoin 2011, where it was praised by critics and audiences alike.
