About This Show

John Brown Theatre presents a wild, ridiculous satire on electioneering, national security, opportunism, and political rhetoric. Mr. Flushing Goes to Washington: A Presidential Vaudeville is written and directed by Alex Kipp, and features Nick Jumara, David Leicht, and Robert Weinstein.

After defeating a team of terrorist ninjas, the average-Joe Mr. Flushing is convinced by two PR men to run for president, with the audience serving as the electorate. 3 actors play a kaleidoscope of political cartoon characters: two well-meaning but racist aide workers from the United Nations of America; a team of chauvinistic, bungling foreign ninja terrorists; an old-boy wheeler dealer; a decadent East Coast elitist; a seasoned political veteran; and the Average Joe-turned-national-hero trying to restore order and lead us all back to a simple time of peace and prosperity. Or is he?
